Do I have to pay a fee for Changing Hawaiian Flight?

Hawaiian Airlines has proudly announced that it has made changes free for all tickets. But changes to Main Basic tickets are not allowed. No fee will be charged under Hawaiian Airlines flight change policy 24 hours, if you change within 24 hours of the booking for a flight not less than 7 days away. If your plans happen to change with a Main Basic flight booking, you will have to drop the plan. Other tickets may require you to bear a cost. Do you Get the Same Seat if you Change Hawaiian Flights?

Seat assignment may not remain the same if you change a Hawaiian flight. This is because the seat configuration is not the same on every plane. You can change an Award flight booked with HawaiianMiles only if an award seat is available on the alternative flight. Here are several scenarios and the options you have on Hawaiian flight.

• If you had purchased an Extra Comfort seat – You can apply the price to buying an Extra Comfort or Preferred seat.
• If you had purchased a Preferred seat – You can apply the price you paid for Preferred for buying a Preferred seat or Extra comfort seat.
• The plane doesn’t have the seat you are looking for - Your price paid for a Preferred or Extra Comfort seat will be withheld.

Can I Get Reimbursed when I Change a Hawaiian Flight?

Hawaiian doesn’t give you a refund for flights that will cost you more. Here is a more thorough explanation for you.

• Interisland web-restricted fare – You will have to pay the fare difference (if it is more than $0) but no refund for lower-value tickets.
• International route tickets – Tickets priced higher will require you to pay the difference. But no refund will be issued for lower-value tickets.
• Interisland tickets - Changes will require you to pay the fare difference but no refunds. 

Can I Go for a Standby on Hawaiian Airlines?

The standard flight change rules do not let passengers with Main Basic tickets to go for Hawaiian Airlines same day flight change. You may be able to get a stand-by only if you travel is interisland. Got a flight within Hawaii itself? A same-day standby is possible. The process will vary when you have a check-in baggage. Here is a look at the steps you may follow to get a Hawaiian Airlines same day flight change.

With Check-in Baggage:

• Visit the check-in desk at the airport.
• Request the customer service agent for a same-day stand-by.
• Your name will be added to the standby list of the earlier flight.

With Check-in Baggage:
