How to Cancel an Icelandair Flights?

What is Icelandair Cancellation Policy right now?

Can I Cancel my Icelandair Flight without a fee?

When you cancel a ticket outside the grace period, a cancellation fee of IcelandAir may be charged. The grace period ends after 24 hours of purchase for flights not less than 2 days away. Then the fare type with which you purchased a ticket will be the only benchmark. Saga Flex and Economy Flex will not require you to pay charges. Does Icelandair give you 24 hours to Cancel?

However, Icelandair 24-hour flight cancellation policy, only applies to flights to or from US. Flights not less than 7 days away may be cancelled. How much does Icelandair Charge for Cancellation?

Does Icelandair give refunds if you cancel a flight?

Of late, flyers have complained about the slow refund processing after a flight cancellation. If you paid a ticket with your credit card, IcelandAir will send a credit statement to the credit card issuer within 7 days of the refund. If you paid with a check or cash, it may take IcelandAir up to 20 days to provide you with a refund. The refund is typically in the original form of payment. You may get travel credit vouchers for non-refundable tickets. Travel credit vouchers come with an expiry date. They are valid for booking up to 8 years from the date of issue, and for travel up to 1 year from booking. Under IcelandAir refund policy, a few charges are not refunded.

  • Booking fees are not refundable for all ticketed passengers. - Even if you have cancellation protection, the booking fee is retained.
  • Carrier-imposed surcharges are non-refundable. - This is applicable to non-refundable tickets like Economy Light and Economy Standard.
